When it Rains it Pours

Summertime at the Lake
Sunny days.....
Sunny days.....

Sunny days.....

But thunderstorms broke out later that evening,
and the builder had to call off the pouring of the slab.
He had arrived at 5:15AM, it was way too muddy.
Then we had to wait for the area to dry out.  It
would have been great to have the crew return on
Monday, but they couldn't get started with a team
until Tuesday.  The sun was out Friday-Monday
and then Monday night it poured.  It poured again
on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and light rain on
Friday and Saturday.  This is what Jack and I saw
when we came out on Saturday afternoon.

The damage created by the heavy rains is extensive.
Now the builder has no choice but to tear out
the re-bar, the plastic, and re-dig the footings.
This is a big setback and the builder is not going
ahead until he feels the rain is out of the forecast
for awhile.  So we'll keep you posted when they
decide to go back to work on the property.
Stay tuned.......
